All about Zane-so you know it's gonna be good.
I have to write about Zane's zany-ness before I forget! Last night he was on a roll. He was eating shells and cheese and he asked, "Mom, what do you have to kill to get these shells? Did they come from the ocean?"
Me: "No, Zane those are pasta shells they are made from flour and water or sometimes flour and eggs."
Zane:"What about cheese? What did you have to kill to get the cheese?"
Me: "Cheese comes from milk. Milk comes from cows bosoms."
Zane: "You mean udders?"
Me: "Yes, the udders".
Then he stood up on the chair behind me and started playing with my hair. Then he kissed my hair. He said, "I kissed your hair because I LOVE it!" Then Olivia came up and asked if he would play with her hair. He said, "Yes, I will play with both your hair at the same time." So he did.
He bought himself a yoga ball at a garage sale last week. He came rolling it into the living room last night chanting "Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy Ball."
Noah asked, "Hey Zane, can I see your ball?" Zane said "NO" then quickly scooped it up and ran around the room yelling "My Precious My Precious".
Greg and I have really starting to come down hard on him lately. He can be quite the little turd if you let him. What is amazing to me, though is that for him TIME OUT actually works! I know my dad says, "Give em time out then beat em with a ball bat".(Of course he's kidding) But I think you could spank that child until your hand hurts and it does absolutely no good. But he HATES time out. I usually have to wrestle with him to get him there. And if you haven't noticed HE'S HUGE so that can be quite the workout. But after he's been in there a few minutes he gets really quiet. And when his time is up it's like he's a completely different kid. He tells me he loves me and that he's ready to play again. He has been spending quite a bit of time in his room this week. I'm really trying to get him to be more obedient before Adley makes her appearance. My only problem is disciplining him when we're not at home. Anybody have any advice?

I am as happy as a lark....what does that even mean?
It truly takes very little to make me happy. Today I found a glider rocker for me and baby Adley for $12. I am so excited and I can't wait to rock her in it. I took Olivia to her last Violin lesson (until next school year). Her teacher says she is doing wonderful. Just think how good she would be if she ACTUALLY practiced! Olivia says she will miss seeing her teacher this summer. She is so nice!
Our family went to Silver Dollar City Wednesday. It was fun (for everybody else). I was hot, fat and having mild contractions every time I walked up hill-which if you've been to SDC you know there is a lot of walking up hill. But I'm glad we got to go anyway.
Yesterday it rained (finally) but the bad news is Zane left a library book outside so that's pretty much ruined.
My doctor's office called yesterday and the nurse said that Dr. Williams wants me to have weekly ultrasounds starting at 28 weeks to check on Adley's growth. I think they just want my money but whatever. I guess it is my insurance's money. Like my friend Lindsey said, this way I will get to see a lot more of Adley. I have heard of people being told that their baby was small by an ultrasound doctor and then giving birth to a perfectly healthy full-size baby. So I don't know how accurate this whole thing is going to be.
The kids are being surprisingly good since they have been out of school. It's Zane that is having a hard time. Greg and I are really starting to crack down on him...but it will probably take some time to "whip him into shape." He can be such a "little" stinker. Anyway that's my life for now.
